Permutations : Marcia Jane
Marcia Jane is a video artist based in Melbourne, Australia. Her works reference psychogeography, phenomenology and abstraction; her fascination with rhythm and light leads her to create immersive, visceral experiences out of video field-recordings. Relationship between sound and image is a prime concern and Marcia has collaborated with sound artists in installation and performance. Marcia graduated from RMIT with Honours in Fine Art in 2008 and has performed at The NOW Now Festival (NSW), Institute of Modern Art (Brisbane), and exhibited at VCA Gallery and West Space in Melbourne. Her single-channel works have screened at Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Melbourne International Film Festival and Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography. Marcia is a founding member of Stream Collective.
